A200T Active Speaker
The Airpulse A200T revitalizes vinyl's golden era, merging analog charm with modern fidelity. Its built-in PHONO preamp and inputs ensure turntables reintroduce rich, detailed soundscapes of the past.
The Airpulse A200T, designed by legendary Phil Jones, embodies a new standard in high-fidelity audio, drawing inspiration from iconic speakers of a bygone era. This speaker system is engineered for the audiophile, especially those with a passion for the warmth of vinyl records, offering a built-in PHONO input with a phono preamp for direct turntable connections. It promises authentic analogue sound reproduction, with a rich, natural midrange and articulate bass.
Horn-Loaded Ribbon Tweeters
The A200T loudspeaker from AIRPULSE is equipped with the brand’s signature horn-loaded ribbon tweeter, derived from the original 7001 speaker design. At its core is an ultra-thin, pure aluminum ribbon diaphragm measuring just 0.0005 inches (0.0127 mm) in thickness—approximately ten times thinner than the average human hair. In this advanced tweeter design, the ribbon itself serves as both the diaphragm and the voice coil. Suspended within an exceptionally strong magnetic field generated by Neodymium Iron Boron magnets on either side, the ribbon responds with extraordinary speed and precision. This results in exceptionally high sensitivity, lightning-fast transient response, extended high-frequency performance, and outstanding resolution. The horn-loaded structure further enhances performance by optimizing sound dispersion and directing energy efficiently toward the listener. By minimizing environmental interference, it produces a clearer, more natural, and three-dimensional soundstage. The result is a rich, highly detailed, and faithful reproduction of the recording—delivering music exactly as it was intended to be heard.
5.25-inch Hard Anodized aluminum diaphragm
The A200T features a 5.25-inch long-stroke mid-bass driver with a hard-anodized aluminum diaphragm, engineered from a high-strength magnesium-aluminum alloy. Using advanced Klippel system analysis, the cone geometry has been meticulously optimized to significantly reduce both radial and axial breakup modes throughout its operating range. As a result, the diaphragm behaves as a true piston rather than a flexing surface, preserving transient accuracy and avoiding the softened attack often associated with cone deformation. This piston-like behavior delivers exceptional clarity and inner detail, even in complex musical passages where multiple instruments—such as voices, strings, and horns—are playing simultaneously. The mid-bass driver is equipped with an oversized 38 mm voice coil, considerably larger than those typically found in drivers of this size. The increased coil diameter reduces power compression by maintaining lower operating temperatures, allowing music dynamics to sound more natural and lifelike. Improved thermal performance also enhances long-term reliability, ensuring consistent performance and reduced risk of failure over time.
Full digital amplifier
The amplifier section of the A200T Is composed of three pieces of TAS5754 Class D ampliflers. Two are connected in parallel bridge mode to drive the left and right woofers, and one is connected in bridge mode for the two tweeters. Not like normal Class D amplifier, these amplifiers feature closed-loop structure with even lower distortion. Its digital input accepts signal with up to 192KHz sample rate. Its Hybrid-Flow digital processing enrich the system processing capability even more.
