Five years after the debut of the AIRPULSE A80, we introduce the A60 — an even more compact desktop hi‑fi speaker system designed for small, intimate listening environments. Perfectly suited for refined desktop setups, the A60 features meticulously tuned acoustics that deliver rich, immersive sound within limited spaces. It incorporates a planar diaphragm tweeter inspired by the acclaimed AIRPULSE SILVER‑1, paired with a 3.5‑inch long‑excursion aluminium midrange/woofer equipped with a large voice coil for exceptional clarity, detail, and control.
The A60 is powered by an advanced DSP‑based dynamic management system, featuring a closed‑loop digital amplifier with an electronic crossover and a high‑efficiency, ultra‑low‑ripple switching power supply. Together, these technologies deliver ample driving power, precise dynamic control, and exceptional sonic stability. Wireless performance is equally impressive, with a Qualcomm QCC3031 Bluetooth 5.1 module supporting aptX HD for detailed, CD‑quality audio streaming. For wired listening, the A60 offers versatile connectivity with two analog inputs and two digital inputs, including USB, ensuring seamless compatibility with a wide range of music sources. A dedicated SUB OUT port allows effortless connection to an external subwoofer, providing flexible low‑frequency extension for larger rooms or more immersive listening experiences. To preserve signal purity throughout the system, the A60 is equipped with premium internal wiring from renowned US brand TRANSPARENT, ensuring accurate signal transmission with minimal loss.
Planar Diaphragm Neodymium Tweeter
The planar diaphragm tweeter's voice coil is printed on the diaphragm. The two parts move in unison, eliminating output lag thus ensuring fast transient response. The planar diaphragm and voice coil simultaneously pushes the air and couples with it to form a highly linear, full-area sound wave. This feature avoids phase distortion and front-chamber effect caused by the time delay between the tip and end of a conventional dome diaphragm. As a result, the planar diaphragm tweeter has the characteristics of high sensitivity, minimal phase distortion, and sound quality of finest details.
3.5-inch aluminum diaphragm, large voice coil, long-excursion mid-bass driver
The A60's mid-bass driver uses a cast aluminum chassis, a high-strength, hardened aluminum alloy diaphragm, a 30mm diameter voice coil, and large ferrite magnets. Tuned by a KLIPPEL analysis system, it delivers excellent mid-and low-frequency performance. The fully cast aluminum chassis provides strong support for the woofer, while the specially treated aluminum alloy diaphragm exhibits exceptional rigidity, effectively reducing Cone breakup and ensuring accurate reproduction of sound details. The large 30mm diameter voice coil, combined with the large magnets, provides ample power, ensuring the driver has sufficient low-frequency depth.
Low-Distortion, High-Resolution Digital Audio Processing Amplifier System
The A60 utilizes two Texas Instruments TAS5754M closed-loop structure digital input Class-D power amplifiers, offering superior distortion control compared to open-loop Class-D amplifiers and supporting digital signals up to 192kHz sampling rates. The TAS5754M output PWM carrier frequency of 768KHz optimizes high-frequency distortion, making it ideal for use with high-sensitivity speakers (such as ribbon tweeters and flat-panel tweeters). The TAS5754M's built-in Hybrid Flow signal processing further enhances the system's signal processing capabilities. The A60 amplifier adopts an independent signal processing assembly for treble and bass, and uses two Texas Instruments TLV320AIC3254 digital processing CORE (Very Low-Power Stereo Audio CODEC with programmable mini DSP) to perform functions of electronic crossover, speaker compensation, and dynamics range management, maximizing the performance of the speaker system.
